All this nonsense about &quot;Franken Food&quot;, particularly in Europe where trial plots for research into genetically modified crops are constantly trashed and where biotech is regulated to the point of constipation, only distracts from real food safety issues. Meanwhile beneficial crops such as Golden Rice and BT Bringal languish in bureaucratic limbo when they could be bringing so much benefit, particularly in poorer countries.</description>
